The Law

Ohio Medical Marijuana Law Covered Conditions
To remain in full compliance with the state, you’ll need to qualify first. The medical marijuana laws in Ohio covers 25 conditions, including the following:

How to Register
To maintain a medical marijuana card, you need to comply with the state rules. You need to visit a certified medical marijuana doctor with your medical records to verify conditions and receive a signed letter. You also need to pay the annual $50 patient registration fee to be added to the Patient Registry.
Card Process
After receiving your certified doctor’s recommendation letter, the State Board will process and enroll you in the Patient Registry. You’ll receive an email of approval from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, pay the state fee, and print your official medical marijuana card. The prescribing doctor will follow up every three months with a phone call, and your renewal evaluation date will be one year after the initial evaluation.

Depending on your age and condition, you’ll have access to a certain level of THC. This will be in the form of plant, patch, ointment, oil, capsule, edible, and vaporization. You’ll have access to CBD, Indica, Sativa, or a hybrid to ease symptoms of conditions.
